Hotell Abbazia is very conveniently located just a few minutes from the train station. We really enjoyed having this convenience. The rooms are not large but very adequate. The bathroom was very modern and clean with lots of towels. The buffet breakfast was one of the best we had in Italy with lots of variety. The interior of the hotel is lovely with a charming courtyard and bar area to relax in when you are not sight- seeing. The hotel was the most expensive we stayed in during our stay in Italy but that is Venice. We did not enjoy the restaurants in Venice. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Venice.

The location is excellent particularly if arriving by train. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful and offered free Wi Fi for use within hotel. The room is nice and roomy for our family of 3 persons.
No box tissue paper provided which most of other hotels do.

Beautiful hotel with friendly and efficient staff and lovely garden.
Our only slight problem was that we couldn't quite manage the air conditioning so it was a bit warm.

A comfortable hotel in a convenient location, ideal for exploring Venice and for the transport links. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel garden was lovely and peaceful.
Breakfasts, like most Italian hotels, left a bit to be desired.

The charming historical architecture made our stay memorable, and the staff's warm welcome created a homey atmosphere. However, the chaotic breakfast seating left much to be desired.

Delightful and good breakfasts, the stay was fantastic!
Also, location was brilliant, just 5 minutes walk from Venetian Ghetto Neighbourhood. Moreover, a bus stop was within walking distance from the hotel. The management was fairly quiet and super, as well as the staff.

The hotel is well located within easy walking distance of transport links from the airport and easy to find so no dragging cases through the Venice maze.Once inside it feels quiet and serene. The front of house staff were extremely helpul and the well maintained garden is a real plus.

Staff extremely helpful and knowledgeable about City of Venice. Location was wonderful - right off the Grand Canal and close to Waterbus stop, train station, shopping etc. Accommodation included an excellent buffet breakfast.

We liked the fact that the hotel is close to the vaporettos stops aswell as the train station. We also liked the friendliness of the staff in the reception , they upgraded us for free from the standard to the superior room at our arrival to the hotel. We also had a flight late in the evening, and during the checkout, they offered to keep our luggage in the luggage room. The breakfast is also good. Overall, great value for money.
We didn't like the fact that the bells noise is very strong during the early hours of the morning. We also didn't like the fact that some of the staff in the breakfast room didn't look happy and didn't smile at all. Our room was also very warm.

The location close to the station and vaporetto stops is perfect and the staff very welcoming. We especially apreciated the possibility of leaving our luggage throughout the last day when we couldn't have the use of our room any longer.
The 150 or so bells strokes twice in an hour time before 8 o'clock was a bit of a shock on the first morning ; yet I must say I never heard the complete run on the following mornings. I even think it sent me back to sleep !

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The location was really easy to find when arriving from Treviso airport by bus and ideal for exploring Venice by foot rather than by expensive waterbuses or water taxis.. The room was huge and very warm during what was a cold spell. Breakfast was ample with decent cold choice of fruits, cereals, meats, toast and croissants and hot and cold beverages.
The early morning tolling bells from the adjacent church could be a probelm for those who like to sleep in.

Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere of the old 1879 abbey, comfortable lobby area with bar and TV, good breakfast, excellent location next to the Santa Lucia railway station.
Some of the standard rooms are quite small, but comfortable enough
